Adams is the king of hybrids for a reason, and that is because they work. This hybrid features Adams’ Boxer Technology. You can se it has a square head shape that pulls weight to the perimeters of the club. This perimeter weighting gives it a high Moment of Inertia (MOI), which means it is a forgiving club even when struck off center.
From the top you can see the crown does feature that squareish head shape. It looks good when looking down at the ball. It also features this nice hot steel face, which gives you great ball speeds. The whole club is designed to have a low Center of Gravity (COG), as well as a high Moment of Inertia (MOI). The club is meant to be forgiving as well as high performance.
If you struggle with long irons, consider switching to hybrids. A lot of the pros are doing it and you don’t have to worry about what people are going to think because these clubs work. You are going to watch your shots soar and your scores drop!
The two models are the Speedline and the Speedline Draw. This one is the Draw model. It features a slight offset that helps get the club square to the ball at impact, reducing slices. The normal model doesn’t have the offset, for those players who don’t fade the ball.
On these Speedline clubs, Adams created a more aerodynamic head shape that they tested in wind tunnels, which results in higher swing speeds, which then results in more distance. Adams is known for their Boxer Technology, which is basically a big square clubhead, and this helps increase MOI because it moves weight to the perimeter, making the club more resistant to twisting on impact, so you hit the ball straight.
With the Speedline, they took a different approach and have blended the Hybrid with the Fairway wood, and it has a much more traditional shape and is more eye appealing than their squarer models.Adams has lowered the COG by another 15% to give you a higher launch and a better feel, and the Cambered Sole makes it easy to hit out of various lies. You can see it has a nice roundness to it, so it doesn’t bite in the rough.
