Look what some of the boys at the PGA show in Orlando saw inside the Callaway booth: a flipping Lambo!

Callaway X Lamborghini

Callaway X Lamborghini

Callaway and Lamborghini are lab partners this season, partnering to bring us “Forged Composite.” This stuff is claimed to be lighter and stronger than titanium, while delivering faster clubhead speeds.  Currently available in their Diablo Octane driver, the reviews say that forged composite delivers.

What do you think? Would you rather drive a Lamborghini or a Diablo Octane?

TaylorMade R11 Sneak Preview!

Check it out: TaylorMade R11 Driver! Looks like it truely is going to be a white Christmas!

TaylorMade R11 Driver

The TaylorMade R11 has not been released yet, and there are very few technical specs on the club, but we can guess that it is going to be a real winner. The white crown is the first thing you notice… a big change from the typical black finish most drivers have. However, the finish is matte, so it doesn’t look like it is going to produce any glare.

The R11 is similar to the various versions of the R9, with the pear-shaped head, deep face, and overall great looks. Like the R9, R9 SuperDeep Tp, etc.. the R11 features MWT (Movable Weight Technology) which allows you to adjust the club’s CG to promote different ball flights, be it a draw, fade, or neutral. The provided weights on the R11 can result in up to 20 yards of side-to-side trajectory change.

It also features FCT (Flight Control Technology), which allows you to adjust the loft of the club, increasing or decreasing the launch angle of your shots. FCT is great in distance control, as it allows you to hit lower, more penetrating shots by decreasing the loft by 1 degree and reducing spin rate up to 500 rpm. Likewise, increasing the loft by 1 degree produces higher arcing shots with more spin.

However, there are some serious design differences aside from the white finish. Notice the “ASP” on the toe if the R11 Driver? It stands for “Adjustable Sole Plate” (Look at the big red triangle in the first picture). This allows you to adjust the face angle of the club, promoting straighter shots by compensating for flaws in your swing. This Adjustable Sole Plate opens or closes the face 2 degrees, promoting the look you want at address, and the ball flight that results from a solid impact.

We can’t wait to see how the TaylorMade R11 performs next year on Tour, and look forward to seeing all the big brands pushing the envelope of design and technology in their golf clubs. Our wish is the same as most golfers: to hit it longer and straighter, and shave strokes off our game, all while having more and more fun. The TaylorMade R11 might be the thing to do it!

All White Hot XG putters feature the White Hot XG face insert, which is made of multiple materials to give you an incredible feel, as well as a pleasing sound with you strike the ball.

You can see that the Marxman Blade is heel-shafted and comes with a plumber’s neck hosel with a full-shaft offset. This really helps get your hands in front of the ball at address.
