Adams IDEA Tech a4R Hybrid Iron Set Review
Hi guys, this is Trevor with GolfEtail.com, and today I get to review the Adams IDEA Tech a4R Hybrid Iron Set.
Everyone knows that Adams is the king of hybrids, and in this set they integrate a #4 hybrid, which replaces that long iron, with 5-GW cavity back iron set. It is a great set for those mid to high handicappers looking to lower their scores, who struggle for the long irons, and who want forgiveness out of every club.
You can see that the hybrid on the a4R set features Adams’ Boxer technology, which is a squarish head shape that pulls weight to the perimeters, makes it really forgiving with a High MOI (Moment of inertia), so even if you strike it off center, it is going to go straight.
You can see the cavity back irons on this set feature a nice cavity that pulls weight to the perimeters. It also lowers weight, so you get a lower and deeper Center of Gravity (COG). You can see a little bar here that Adams calls a Stabilizer Bar, which dampens vibrations so you get a great feel when you strike the ball.
Both the hybrid and irons feature a 4-way cambered sole, which really improves turf interaction, helps it glide through the rough, and makes it feel great when you hit the ball.
