Hey folks, this is Trevor with GolfEtail.com, and these are the TaylorMade Burner 08 Fairway Woods. The Burner 08 Fairway Woods feature a fast looking triangular headshape, as well as Dual Crown Technology, which TaylorMade used to reduce the mass and weight of the crown, and put it all towards the sole of the club. This gives you a deeper Center of Gravity, which helps you launch the ball high and far.

The Burner 08 Fairway Wood features TaylorMade’s Ultra-Thin Wall Technology, which means the walls of the clubhead are only .55mm thick, which reduces overall weight, and helps you swing it faster, which in turn gives you more and more distance.

TaylorMade’s Ultra-Thin Wall Technology, added to their Superfast Shaft Technology (these shafts weigh only 49 grams), gives you a club that is super lightweight overall, increasing swing speeds and resulting in more distance. These Burners are super long and super forgiving because of the big clubhead.

Hi this is Trevor with GolfEtail.com, and today we are going to be talking about the TaylorMade Burner 08 Rescue.

The Burner 08 rescues, as well as all hybrids, are meant to either replace those hard-to-hit long irons or to fill the gaps between your long irons and your fairway woods, and this is no exception, it does just that.

The Burner 08 Hybrid features TaylorMade’s Dual Crown technology, which is actually a smaller crown than the sole of the club. You can see this notch here, where they have reduced the size of the crown. What this does is it lowers the Center of Gravity by bringing more mass and weight to the bottom of the club. This, in turn, helps you get the ball higher in the air and farther.

The Dual Crown Technology, added to Superfast shaft technology, you get a super lightweight club that allows you to increase your swing speeds, which gives you more distance overall.

This club has what TaylorMade calls the fast looking Triangular headshape, and it actually has the largest footprint of any TaylorMade rescue club, which increases confidence at address. To give you a little comparison, this is the Burner 09 Rescue, which has a slightly different shape. You can see that the 09 is a little rounder and the 08 has more mass drawn towards the back of the club, which again helps the weight be pulled back and deep, which gives you higher launch.

You can see the Burner 08 Rescue also has a slight Draw bias. It has a slight offset, so for those of you who are prone to slicing the ball, this is the club for you.

The Tour #7 Heavy is a modified, oversized mallet with dual weighted alignment wings. The total clubhead weight is 360 grams, so it is nice and heavy and gives you that great pendulum feel when you are swinging it.
