TaylorMade Burner 09 Driver Review

Hey folks, check the video review below by Sean. Great info on this driver!

Hey this is Sean from GolfEtail.com, and today we are going to do a review of the TaylorMade Burner 09 Driver. It has a light clubhead, weighing in at less than 300 grams, and the shaft, featuring SuperFast technology is about a 50 gram shaft, so it’s a pretty light club but still swing weights like usual.

The superfast shaft in this club is a half inch longer than standard, its 45 ½ inches, giving you a little bit more distance. You can tell that the Burner 09 Driver is pear-shaped in head and also has a little bit of a rear weight to move the center of gravity a little lower and back in the clubhead giving you a higher launch angle.

The club features Inverted Cone Technology from TaylorMade. It use to be that on off center hits you lose some of your COR, or Coefficient of Restitution, which is the springiness of the driver. With the Inverted Cone Technology, off-center hits still keep their COR, even when you hit it off the heel or toe of the club.

It is a 460cc Titanium clubhead, which is the maximum allowed by the USGA. You put that package together and you have yourself a driver that stretches the limits of the USGA, and gives you great forgiveness, great feel, great distance, and the classic TaylorMade shape.
