Did you guys hear about this? Jim Furyk, #3 in the Fed EX Cup Rankings (Where the winner takes home a cool $10,000,000) accidentally sleeps through his alarm, arriving late to the Pro-Am on Wednesday. Darn cell phones… Click over to ESPN for the article.
What a wild Championship weekend! At first Nick Watney looked like he had it, then triples and doubles took him out of contention. Bubba played consistent golf and finished as the runner up after a playoff. Rory McIlroy was strong throughout but just couldn’t quite make those critical putts drop. And what was Dustin Johnson thinking, grounding his club in the sand??
However, it was the young German Martin Kaymer who became Das 2010 PGA Champion! The 25 year old played smart, consistent golf and finished -11 after beating Bubba Watson in a playoff.

Martin Kaymer was not the only winner this weekend though! Our PGA Championship contest for the TaylorMade Burner Driver received over 2,200 entries and NOBODY chose Kaymer to win! We still wanted to give the club away, so we randomly selected MATT MOONEY from Bismark, ND as the lucky winner! Congratulations to him!
Thanks to everyone who entered, and keep on the lookout for more contests from GolfEtail.com!
After a slow start yesterday due to fog, the 2010 PGA Championship got underway at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin. And what a day it was! Although Round 1 was not completed, there was still plenty of great golf to watch.
Get in the Hole!
One thing is for certain. When the fog cleared, the the course at Whistling Straits was looking beautiful! Every hole looked like a painting, with the mighty Lake Michigan in the background. Guys were hitting it long, and they needed it, as this course plays over 7,500 yards.
Our PGA Championship contest received a lot of responses, but so far, those of you who choose Matt Kuchar, Ernie Els, and Bubba Watson seem to be looking good. Are you regretting your choice at all, seeing these guys post great rounds? Those of you who chose Tiger are sitting pretty comfortable. He finished -1 and we all know what he is capable of, so keep your eyes peeled!
Hi guys, this is Trevor with GolfEtail.com, and today I am going to be reviewing the Callaway X-24 HOT Iron Set.
The X-24 HOT’s are Callaway’s longest and most accurate X-series irons to date, and that is thanks to the combination of many of their premier technologies including VFT, Variable Face Thickness, which gives you a really hot face, as well as Dual Notch weighting, which increases the MOI, and makes it a very forgiving club.
The X-24 HOT features a 360* Undercut Channel, which moves weight even further out to the perimeters, adding to forgiveness. They also feature Callaway’s S2H2 Technology, the Short, straight, hollow hosel, as well as Modified Tru-Bore, which helps to dampen vibrations at impact.
The things that really sets these irons apart is the matte black PVD finish, which is a dark finish that reduces glare and gives them a really sleek look.
Thanks for watching, these were the Callaway X-24 HOT Irons. Jump on our website, GolfEtail.com, and pick up a set today!
